Head of Thematic Equity Strategies, AXA IM Core

Continued technological innovation is driving the robotics industry. This is opening automation opportunities to vast new parts of the economy in a way that was not previously possible, which in turn delivers a range of new investment opportunities.

Tom is the Head of Global Thematic Strategies at AXA IM Equities and the lead Portfolio Manager of the AXA Robotech strategy and Evolving Trends strategy.
 

In his role as Head of Global Thematic Strategies, he is responsible for overseeing the thematics investments teams globally and coordinating the investment views across the major themes that are forecast to impact the global economy over the coming years.

The Robotech strategy is a global equity strategy focussed on investment opportunities in the Robotics and Automation space in areas ranging from Industrial Automation, Autonomous Vehicles, Healthcare, Semiconductors and Artificial Intelligence.

The Evolving Trends strategy is a broad global equity strategy focussed on capturing the opportunities identified by all of the various themes that the team focus on, with a framework of Technological Innovation, Societal Changes and Sustainability.

Tom started his career in 2009 with AXA IM Framlington Equities as an Investment analyst before joining the Global Equity and Technology investment teams in 2013.  Tom is a CFA Charterholder and holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics & Statistics from Bristol University.
